Common use of Promotional Increase Clause in Contracts

Promotional Increase. A promoted employee will receive the lowest step in the new increment structure which results in a minimum monthly increase of: $82 if the position is one grade higher; $104 if the position is two grades higher; and so on (increasing by $22 for each grade). The maximum rate of the new increment structure will not be exceeded because of the application of this provision. A promotion does not change an employee’s increment anniver- sary date.
