Department Director. The term DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR refers to the Director of the Department requesting the service, employed by the Lee County Board of County Commissioners to serve and act on the COUNTY'S behalf, as it relates to this Project. The Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, or designated representative, shall act on behalf of the COUNTY to execute any and all CHANGE ORDERS or SUPPLEMENTAL TASK AUTHORIZATIONS approved by the COUNTY and issued to the CONSULTANT pursuant to this Agreement. The DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR, within the authority conferred by the Board of County Commissioners, acting as the COUNTY'S designated representative, shall issue written notification to the CONSULTANT of any and all changes approved by the COUNTY in the CONSULTANT'S: (1) compensation; (2) time and/or schedule of service delivery; (3) scope of services; or, (4) other changes relative to BASIC SERVICES and ADDITIONAL SERVICES pursuant to this Agreement, including CHANGE ORDERS or SUPPLEMENTAL TASK AUTHORIZATIONS pertaining thereto. The DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR is responsible for acting on the COUNTY'S behalf to administer, coordinate, interpret and otherwise manage the contractual provisions and requirements set forth in this Agreement, including approved CHANGE ORDERS or SUPPLEMENTAL TASK AUTHORIZATIONS.
Department Director. The director of the Transportation and Mobility Department for the City of Fort Lauderdale.
Department Director. Complaints Filed With - If the grievant is not satisfied with the results rendered in Step 1, the grievant may appeal the decision in writing to the applicable Department Director or his/her designee with a copy to the Union. Contract Interpretation and Past Practice, Compensation and EEO complaints would go directly to Step 3 of this process. (NOTE: See Section 40.2.2.)
Department Director. If the grievance is not resolved at Step 1, the appropriate Unit Representative may forward the grievance to the appropriate Department Director within ten (10) working days after receiving the Step 1 answer. The Department Director will have ten (10) working days in which to schedule a meeting with the aggrieved employee, the Unit Griever, the Unit Chairperson, and a USW representative. The Department Director will investigate and respond in writing to the grievance within ten (10) working days following the Step 2 meeting.
Department Director. The grievance, along with all correspondence, shall be submitted to the Department Director. The Department Director or his/her representative shall investigate the grievance and schedule a grievance meeting within ten (10) days. Management and the Council may each have no more than four (4) representatives at the grievance meeting. Both the Council and Management have the right to call such witnesses as are necessary to the investigation of the grievance. The Department Director shall reply to the Council and the grievant in writing within seven (7) workdays after completion of the grievance meeting. If the answer of the Department Director is not satisfactory to the Council the grievance may be appealed to the Third Step within ten (10) workdays of receipt of reply from the Department Director. If the written notice of intent to invoke the Third Step of the grievance procedure is not received by the HR Director within ten
Department Director. If the grievance is not resolved at Step 2, the union may, within ten (10) calendar days after the Step 2 meeting, refer the grievance in writing to the Department Director or his designee. In such event, a meeting will be held between the union and the Department Director, or his designee. Such meeting will be held within thirty (30)
Department Director. If the matter is not resolved to the employee's satisfaction at Step 1, the employee shall present the grievance in writing to the Department Director (and/or designee) within fourteen (14) calendar days of the immediate supervisor's written decision. A meeting between the employee (and the Union Delegate/Representative, if requested by the employee) and the Department Director (or designee) and a Human Resources representative (or designee) shall be held within ten (10) days for the purpose of resolving the grievance. The Department Director shall issue a written reply within fourteen (14) calendar days following the Step 2 grievance meeting.

If the matter is not resolved to the nurse’s satisfaction at Step 1, the nurse shall present the grievance in writing to the Department Director (and/or designated representative) within seven (7) calendar days of the immediate supervisor’s decision. A conference between the nurse (and the Union Delegate/Representative, if requested by the nurse) and the Department Director (and/or designated representative) shall be held within ten (10) days for the purpose of resolving the grievance. The Department Director shall issue a written reply within ten (10) days following the grievance meeting.
Department Director. At the time of filing a Step 1 grievance, the xxxxxxx shall raise an informal discussion with the supervisor in order to make him/her aware of the grievance and provide an opportunity for resolution. No written response shall be required. All grievances must be presented in writing to the Department Director not later than ten (10) working days from the date the grievant became, or reasonably should have become, aware of the occurrence giving rise to the grievance. If being on approved paid leave prevents an employee from having knowledge of an occurrence, then the time lines shall be extended by the number of days the employee was on such leave except that in no case shall the extension exceed sixty (60) days after the event. Within seven (7) days after the grievance is presented at Step 1, the Department Director shall discuss the grievance with the Union and the grievant. The Department Director shall render a written answer to the grievance within eight (8) days after such a discussion is held and provide a copy of such answer to the Union and the grievant. The written grievances shall contain a statement of the grievant’s complaint, the section(s) of the Agreement allegedly violated, if applicable, the date of the alleged violation and the relief sought. The form shall be signed and dated by the grievant.
