Promotional Probationary Periods. Section 7.4.1 Any permanent employee who is promoted to the rank of Sergeant will be considered as a “special probationary” employee, and must successfully complete a special probationary period before being permanently appointed to the new classification. A special probationary period will not exceed three hundred sixty- five (365) days.
