Provision of Qualified Interpreters. SVVSD will maintain contracts and working relationships with at least two qualified interpreter agencies and ensure that this information is available to all school staff and employees. SVVSD shall provide the Department with documentation that such interpreter services are under contract, are available, and have qualified interpreters within thirty (30) days of the Effective Date.

Provision of Qualified Interpreters. The Hospital shall provide qualified interpreters when necessary for effective communication with, or effective participation in Hospital programs and activities by patients, or other persons who are deaf or hard of hearing. The following are examples of circumstances when it may be necessary to provide interpreters: determination of a Patient's medical history or description of ailment or injury; provision of Patients' rights, informed consent or permission for treatment; religious services and spiritual counseling; explanation of living xxxxx or xxxxxx of attorney (or their availability; diagnosis or prognosis of ailments or injuries; explanation of procedures, tests, treatment, treatment options, or surgery; explanation of medications prescribed (such as dosage, instructions for how and when the medication is to be taken, and side effects or food or drug interactions); explanation regarding follow-up treatments, therapies, test results or recovery blood donations or apheresis; discharge instructions; provision of mental health evaluations, group and individual therapy,(1) counseling, and other therapeutic activities, including grief counseling and crisis intervention; explanation of complex billing or insurance issues that may arise; and educational presentations, such as classes concerning birthing, nutrition, CPR, and weight management. The foregoing list of circumstances is neither exhaustive nor mandatory, and shall not imply that there are not other circumstances when it may be appropriate to provide interpreters for effective communication.
Provision of Qualified Interpreters. The Sheriff shall provide qualified interpreters when necessary for effective communication with, or effective participation in the Sheriff’s programs and activities by inmates and visitors who are deaf, hard of hearing or deaf-blind. The following are examples of circumstances when it may be necessary to provide interpreters: * initial intake and classification processing; * regularly scheduled in-house health care appointments and programs (medical, dental, visual, mental health, and drug and alcohol recovery services); * treatment and other formal programming; * educational classes and activities; * parole hearings conducted by the Sheriff; * any official hearings conducted by the Sheriff in which the inmate is a participant; * criminal investigations (to the extent controlled by the Sheriff); * classification review interviews; * grievance interviews; * religious services; and * formal investigations conducted by the Sheriff staff. The foregoing list of circumstances is neither exhaustive nor mandatory, and shall not imply that there are not other circumstances when it may be appropriate to provide interpreters for effective communication.
Provision of Qualified Interpreters. Within six (6) months, the Sheriff will maintain contracts with at least two (2) Qualified Interpreter agencies and/or freelance Qualified Interpreters to ensure, to the best of the Sheriff’s ability, that a Qualified Interpreter will be available twenty-four (24) hours per day, and seven (7) days per week. The Sheriff shall also maintain access to the list of interpreters made available and coordinated by the Colorado Commission for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind (currently available online at xxxxx://xxxxx.xxx/index.php/directory/ under the “Interpreting Agencies” and “Freelance Interpreters” tabs). The Sheriff will ensure that contact information for Qualified Interpreter providers and/or freelance Qualified Interpreters is updated upon contract renewal. If Personnel receive advance notice of a future interaction with a Person with an Auditory Disability and that individual has requested a Qualified Interpreter, JCSO shall make reasonable efforts to arrange for a Qualified Interpreter to be present during that interaction.
Provision of Qualified Interpreters a. The LCSO will maintain working relationships with one or more Qualified Interpreter agencies to ensure that a Qualified Interpreter will be available on a priority basis, twenty-four (24) hours per day, and seven (7) days per week. The LCSO shall provide the Department with documentation that such interpreter services have been contacted, are available, and have access to Qualified Interpreters. b. For meetings or interactions with Members of the Public scheduled with advance notice where Personnel know that a Person with an Auditory Disability may be participating, LCSO shall arrange for a Qualified Interpreter to be present at the meeting. LCSO shall not schedule such meeting until such time that a Qualified Interpreter can be present, and LCSO shall postpone any such meeting where the Qualified Interpreter cancels or does not show up at the appointed time.
Provision of Qualified Interpreters. Although the assessment and determination of which, if any, auxiliary aids and services are appropriate for a patient or companion with disabilities should generally be made on a case-by-case basis, some circumstances will typically require that Xx. Xxxxxxx provide a qualified interpreter. Such circumstances generally arise when the communication is particularly complex or lengthy. In such circumstances, including, but not limited to, the following list, Xx. Xxxxxxx will presume that a qualified interpreter is necessary for effective communication with a patient or companion: a. Discussing a patient’s symptoms for diagnostic purposes and discussing their medical condition, medications, and medical history; b. Explaining medical conditions, treatment options, tests, medications, surgery, and other procedures; c. Providing a diagnosis or recommendation for treatment; d. Communicating with a patient during treatment and testing procedures; e. Reviewing, explaining, or obtaining informed consent for treatment; f. Providing instructions for medications, post-treatment activities, and follow-up treatments; g. Discussing powers of attorney, living xxxxx and/or complex billing and insurance matters; and h. Any other circumstances in which a qualified sign language interpreter is necessary to ensure a patient or companion’s rights provided by law.

  • No Reliance On Representations Each party hereby represents and warrants that it is not relying, and has not relied upon any representation or statement made by the other party with respect to the facts involved or its rights or duties. Each party understands and agrees that the facts relevant, or believed to be relevant to this Contract, may hereunder turn out to be other than, or different from the facts now known to such party as true, or believed by such party to be true. The parties expressly assume the risk of the facts turning out to be different and agree that this Contract shall be effective in all respects and shall not be subject to rescission by reason of any such difference in facts.
