Common use of Purpose and Policy Clause in Contracts

Purpose and Policy. 1. The purpose of this procedure is to secure, as soon as possible, equitable solutions to problems involving the welfare or working conditions of a teacher or teachers or to problems which draw into question the interpretation or meaning of the provisions of this Agreement. To better effectuate these policies, both parties agree that all proceedings shall be kept as informal and confidential as may be appropriate at any level of the procedure.
