TRANSPORTATION SUBSIDY. The agency will continue to provide a public transportation subsidy program for bargaining unit employees subject to the availability of funds. All employees are eligible to apply for a transportation subsidy from the Agency. Employees eligible to participate in the agency transportation subsidy program, which will be in accordance with government-wide rules and regulations, may receive a subsidy not to exceed the amount of their actual monthly commuting expenses, up to the maximum amount authorized by this Agreement and the Sidebar.

TRANSPORTATION SUBSIDY. A transportation fund for IHSS homecare workers has been established. They will receive this benefit under the following conditions:
TRANSPORTATION SUBSIDY. (Cont’d) 1. Effective January 1, 2008, the fund shall be increased to a total of $40,000 for each quarter in a fiscal year, for a total of $160,000 per fiscal year. 2. All homecare workers who are authorized to work in the County of Alameda within the time frame of this Memorandum of Understanding are eligible for this benefit. 3. Distribution shall be by lottery every three (3) months, $40,000 for each quarter in a fiscal year. 4. Once a Provider receives a transportation subsidy, that Provider shall be ineligible to participate in the lottery again, until all eligible Providers receive a transportation subsidy and so on. Should less than $40,000 be used in any quarter, the excess funds shall be rolled over into the next quarter as additional transportation subsidy funding.

TRANSPORTATION SUBSIDY. The CRA/LA will reimburse 100% of the applicable cost of a maximum zone fare under the MTA bus pass program, up to a maximum amount as stated in Section 2 per month. In the event MTA abolishes the bus pass program, employees will be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred. Reimbursement will be based on a maximum reimbursement amount equal to the most efficient cost of commuting within the MTA maximum zone region, subject to the limitation in Section 2 per month. Such expenses will be reported on a form to be mutually developed should such a situation arise. Reimbursement will be made on a monthly basis, consistent with current practice as it relates to vanpool and train reimbursement. The CRA/LA will reimburse actual cost not to exceed the cost of the highest zone fare under the MTA program or equivalent maximum amount as calculated above, up to a maximum amount as stated in Section 2 per month to those employees who are passengers to another high occupancy vehicle transportation form, i.e., AMTRAK, Orange County Transit, Metrolink, etc. Effective the first full month following Board adoption of this MOU, parking fees at a Park ‘n ‘ Ride or at any bus/train/Metro stations used to park in conjunction with the use of the transit subsidy and parking fees shall not exceed the maximum subsidy.
TRANSPORTATION SUBSIDY. In recognition of the fact that choosing to not take one’s vehicle to work is one of the most significant things that an individual can do to protect our environment, the Employer shall pay to permanent full-time employees and fixed-term full-time employees who commute to and from work by public transit, telecommuting, cycling or walking, a transportation incentive of an amount equal to eighty-five (85%) of the cost of a one zone TransLink monthly pass and fifty (50%) of the cost of monthly pass for subsequent zones. This benefit is also available to part- time and contract employees on a pro-rated basis. Any employee who drives to work (including carpool) more than four (4) days per month is ineligible unless the car is needed for work. Employees who qualify for the transportation subsidy must sign a Declaration of Eligibility Form and must immediately notify Human Resources/Payroll in the event of a change in transportation arrangements. The benefit is added to the employee’s pay.
TRANSPORTATION SUBSIDY. The Employer will provide all Full-Time Regular and Full-Time Term Employees with a monthly subsidy for transportation costs through the provision of a Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) monthly Metropass or an equivalent amount by cheque. All other Regular and Term employees shall be provided with TTC tickets to cover the expenses of their transportation costs to and from work for each day worked, or an equivalent amount by cheque.

TRANSPORTATION SUBSIDY. 22.01 In recognition of the fact that choosing to leave one's car at home is the single most significant thing that an individual can do to protect our environment, the Employer shall pay to full-time employees who commute to and from work by public transit, cycling or walking, a transportation incentive of an amount equal to eighty-five percent (85%) of the cost of a Toronto Transit Commission Metro Pass per month. If the commute of an employee who qualifies for the transportation subsidy requires travel from an area outside of the geography covered by a regular monthly TTC Metro Pass, the employee will also be eligible for an incentive of an amount equal to fifty percent (50%) of an Express Pass in addition to the eighty-five percent (85%) of the regular TTC Metro Pass. This benefit is also available to part-time employees on a pro-rated basis. Any employee who drives to work (including by carpool) more than four (4) days per month is ineligible. The benefit is added to the employee's pay. 22.02 The Employer shall reimburse the employee, on presentation of receipts, for reasonable expenses necessarily incurred while performing approved duties, in accordance with the current Policy Manual.
TRANSPORTATION SUBSIDY. Each Artist shall be reimbursed for parking or other transportation fees up to $200.00 per season, based on receipts and expense reports submitted by Artists. Reports shall be submitted, and Artists reimbursed twice yearly, in January of each year and in the week following the last performance of the season.
TRANSPORTATION SUBSIDY. Part-time employees shall be eligible for either a parking subsidy or bus transportation subsidy that is equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the subsidy paid to a full-time regular bargaining unit member.
