Common use of Purpose of Article Clause in Contracts

Purpose of Article. The sole purpose of this Article is to provide a basis for the assignment of straight time and overtime for hourly employees and nothing contained in this Agreement shall be construed as a guarantee or commitment by the Employer to any employee of a minimum or maximum number of hours of work per day, per week, or per year. The Employer’s pay records, practices and procedures shall govern the payment of all wages.
