Purpose of Article. The purpose of this Article is to define hours of work; however, nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as a guarantee or limitation of the number of hours to be worked per day, days per week, or for any other period of time except as may be specifically provided herein. It is understood and agreed that the Pensacola Police Department is a twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) days per week operation and that nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as prohibiting the rescheduling of manpower to suit the needs and requirements of the Office of the Chief, provided that contract requirements regarding notification and overtime will be met.
