Purpose of Discipline Sample Clauses

Purpose of Discipline. Both parties to this Collective Agreement recognize the value of progressive discipline in correcting the behaviour of an Employee. Discipline shall be appropriate to the behaviour and individual circumstances of the Employee. However, this does not preclude the College, where the Employee’s behaviour so warrants, from imposing a suspension with or without loss of salary or discharge from employment as the first step in the disciplinary process.
