Recycling and Composting Sample Clauses

The "Recycling and Composting" clause establishes requirements for the proper separation and disposal of recyclable and compostable materials. It typically mandates that parties must use designated bins or facilities for items such as paper, plastics, food waste, and yard trimmings, and may require compliance with local recycling and composting regulations. This clause ensures that waste is managed in an environmentally responsible manner, reducing landfill use and supporting sustainability goals.
Recycling and Composting. The WCA shall develop and maintain Waste and Recycling collection systems which will facilitate the achievement of the recycling targets as set out in the JMWMS, the Recycling Reward Scheme, the Waste Strategy for England, LATS and any other collective countrywide policies. These targets should be regarded as both individual targets for the WCA and collective targets for the CSWP working collaboratively.
Recycling and Composting. Tenant shall use its best efforts to ensure that all discarded materials from the Premises, including from Invitees, will be recycled or composted to the maximum extent feasible. (b) Within ninety (90) days after the Effective Date, Contractor, at its own cost and expense, shall assume management of the existing recycling facility at the Landfill. Upon Contractor’s assumption of managing the existing recycling facility, the hours of operation of the recycling center shall coincide with the hours of the Landfill set forth in this Agreement. (c) Within one (1) year of the Effective Date, Contractor and County shall develop a Master Recycling Plan for the Landfill. The parties acknowledge that, due to the uncertainty of the recycling market, the Master Recycling Plan may include reasonable costs for certain recycling activities, including storage or disposal, due to market conditions. The Master Recycling Plan shall address, at a minimum, the following recycling activities at the landfill: (1) Citizens collection center for recyclable materials. (2) Compost and mulch recycling. (3) Aluminum and steel can recycling. (4) Plastic container recycling. (5) Clear and colored glass recycling. (6) Newsprint recycling. (7) Cardboard recycling. (8) Tire recycling.
