WASTE STREAM. The Recipient assures that it will create or obtain a waste management plan addressing waste generated by a proposed Project prior to the Project generating waste. This waste management plan will describe the Recipient's or subrecipient's plan to dispose of any sanitary or hazardous waste (e.g., construction and demolition debris, old light bulbs, lead ballasts, piping, roofing material, discarded equipment, debris, and asbestos) generated as a result of the proposed Project. The Recipient shall ensure that the Project is in compliance with all Federal, state and local regulations for waste disposal. The Recipient shall make the waste management plan and related documentation available to DOE on DOE's request (for example, during a post-award audit).

WASTE STREAM. The waste stream that may be accepted by the Landfill will be composed of waste or debris resulting from roofing, construction, remodeling, repair, or demolition operations on pavement, buildings, or other structures. Inert debris such as concrete, brick, concrete block, uncontaminated soil, gravel and rock, and wood will also be accepted. Company must monitor the waste offered to the landfill and reject any friable asbestos, organic/household wastes, wastes that have been in contact with petroleum, solvents, chemical waste containing PCBs, and waste that has been in contact with pesticides and herbicides. Company agrees that it will follow all applicable guidance from the State of North Carolina for handling, rejecting, or processing materials that contain or may contain asbestos and/or any other hazardous material regulated for disposal by the State or Federal Government.
WASTE STREAM. “Waste Stream” means the Solid Waste to be collected under this Agreement from the time of its collection by the Contractor to its disposal at a landfill or, at County’s discretion, delivery to a transfer facility or other facility by Contractor.
WASTE STREAM. No work on the Project shall be conducted until the Sub-recipient provides NYSERDA, or its contractor, a waste management plan addressing waste generated by each proposed Project prior to receiving funding for the Project. This waste management plan shall describe the plan to dispose of any sanitary or hazardous waste (e.g., construction and demolition debris, old light bulbs, lead ballasts, lead paint, piping, roofing material, discarded equipment, debris, and asbestos) generated as a result of the proposed Project Work on each remaining Tasks shall not be initiated prior to receiving written Approval to Proceed from NYSERDA, or its contractor.
WASTE STREAM. Prior to the expenditure of federal funds, implementation of goods and/or services, and prior to the disposing of sanitary or hazardous waste associated with an energy efficiency project activity, the LESP must collaborate, whenever possible, with the Direct Beneficiary to provide documentation demonstrating to the County that it has prepared a disposal plan BEFORE sanitary or hazardous waste is generated by the proposed activities. Sanitary or hazardous waste includes, but is not limited to, old light bulbs, lead ballasts, piping, roofing material, discarded equipment, debris, asbestos, etc. The County will only grant approval for the energy efficiency project to take place after a proposed waste stream plan has been provided and written approval received by DOE. While there is no prescribed format required by DOE for a waste plan, it is required that the plan contains the following information: (1) type(s) and estimated volume(s) of waste that the project proponent anticipates will be generated and (2) the disposal path for each waste stream (e.g., landfill disposal, recycling, reuse). WASTE STREAM. Prior to the receipt of goods and/or services and prior to the disposing of sanitary or hazardous waste associated with an energy efficiency project activity, the CBO must collaborate, whenever possible, with the local energy service provider to provide documentation to the County demonstrating that it has prepared a disposal plan for sanitary or hazardous waste generated by the proposed activities. A waste plan must be prepared BEFORE the project activity generates waste. Sanitary or hazardous waste includes, but is not limited to, old light bulbs, lead ballasts, piping, roofing material, discarded equipment, debris, asbestos, etc. The County will only grant approval for the energy efficiency project to take place after a proposed waste stream plan has been provided and written approval received by DOE. This waste management plan will describe Recipient’s (and each of its subrecipients’) plan to dispose of any sanitary or hazardous waste (e.g., construction and demolition debris, old light bulbs, lead ballasts, piping, roofing material, discarded equipment, debris and asbestos) generated as a result of the Project. Without limitation of Section 1(a) of this Exhibit C, Recipient shall ensure that the Project is in compliance with all Federal, state and local regulations for waste disposal. Recipient shall make the waste management plan and related documentation available upon request to SEEA and the DOE.

The subrecipient shall ensure that the project is in compliance with all Federal, state and local regulations for waste disposal. The subrecipient shall make the waste management plan and related documentation available to the recipient to the grantee/recipient or DOE upon request (for example, during a post-award audit).
