  • Submission of Grievances A. Any employee or group of employees shall have the right to present a grievance. No employee or group of employees shall be hindered from or disciplined for exercising this right. B. If any two (2) or more employees have essentially the same grievance they may, and if requested by the County must, collectively present and pursue their grievance if they report to the same immediate supervisor.   • Disciplinary Grievances If the grievance is not resolved at Step 2, the Union may file a request for mediation with the Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC) in accordance with WAC 000-00-000, with a copy to the Office of Financial Management/SHR/Labor Relations Section (OFM/SHR/LRS) and the Human Resources Office within fifteen (15) days of receipt of the Step 2 decision. In addition to all other filing requirements, the request must include a copy of the grievance and all previous responses.

  • Dismissal or Suspension Grievances (a) In the case of a dispute arising from an employee’s dismissal, the grievance may be filed directly at Step 3, within thirty (30) days of the date on which the dismissal occurred, or within thirty (30) days of the employee receiving notice of dismissal. (b) In the case of a dispute arising from an employee’s suspension, the grievance may commence at Step 2 of the grievance procedure within thirty (30) days of the date on which the suspension occurred, or within (30) days of the employee receiving notice of suspension.

  • Policy Grievance – Union Grievance The Union may institute a grievance alleging a general misinterpretation or violation of this Agreement by the Employer by submitting a written grievance at Step No. 1 within twenty (20) days after the circumstances have occurred. This section shall not apply to disciplinary grievances or application of competitive clauses under this Agreement.

  • Statement of Grievance The grievance shall contain a statement of: 1. Specific situation, act or acts complained of as violation of this Agreement, or written rules, regulations or policies; 2. The damage suffered by the employee; and 3. The relief sought.
