Reemployment in a Formerly Held Classification. An employee who has completed the probationary period in an entrance appointment who is laid off and is returned to a classification formerly held on a permanent basis shall receive a salary based upon the original appointment date in the classification to which the employee is returned. An employee who is returned to a classification not formerly held on a permanent basis shall receive a salary based upon actual permanent service in the classification from which laid off.
