Refrigeration. (A) Charterers have the liberty to load and carry in the vessel any lawful refrigerated, frozen or dry general cargo not of a nature likely to be injurious to the Vessel’s fruit decks, bins, gratings, insulation, reefer plant, machinery or to subsequent refrigerated cargos.
(B) Upon delivery and throughout the period of the charter the Vessel shall be, and shall be maintained as a first class reefer cargo vessel in every way suitable for the carriage of bananas and other reefer cargoes and, without prejudice to the foregoing shall be capable of maintaining temperature as per the Vessel’s description and to hold a current refrigerated machinery certificate to that effect and shall be in compliance with the requirements set out in clause 46. In the event the Vessel becomes unable to maintain temperatures within the range set forth herein, Owners to rectify and correct same to normal working conditions within reasonable time. Without prejudice to any other rights in respect thereof, any breach of this condition shall give rise to an option by Charterers in accordance with the provisions of clause 4C, of clause 46 and of clause 17.

Refrigeration. There is a 72” two-door refrigerator and 84” freezer available for the day of the rental. If you need to bring items before rented date or need to leave them after your rented days arrangements need to be made ahead of time. If items are left in freezer or refrigerator without prior arrangements Wooden Shoe cannot guarantee that items will be left alone. It is up to the lessee to adequately label food items left.

Deliveries of such refrigerated products shall be made in clean and refrigerated trucks as per Form 23-Y-83A (revised 7/18/13) attached to this contract and made a part hereof, if applicable.
