Regional and Professional Activities. CITY desires that EMPLOYEE be reasonably active in professional organizations that will promote the standing of CITY and advance CITY’s goals, interests and policy objectives while also providing EMPLOYEE with opportunities for the type of professional development that will enhance EMPLOYEE’S ability to serve CITY and perform EMPLOYEE’S duties as FINANCE DIRECTOR. Toward this end, EMPLOYEE may, upon reasonable notice and approval by the City Manager, join professional organizations and participate in the activities of such organizations in so far as such participation promotes the interests of CITY and does not unduly interfere with the performance of EMPLOYEE’s duties as FINANCE DIRECTOR. CITY agrees to budget and, consistent with that budget, pay for the dues, conference and travel fees, and subscriptions of the FINANCE DIRECTOR necessary for EMPLOYEE’S participation in national, statewide, regional or professional organizations.

  • Professional Activities The Superintendent is expected to attend appropriate professional meetings at the local and state levels, and, subject to prior Board approval, at the national level. All reasonable expenses incurred shall be paid by the Board.

  • Outside Professional Activities (a) For the purpose of this article, "outside professional activities" means participation in the activities of professional associations, learned societies, faculty associations, or voluntary practice of the employee’s profession, which support and/or promote the advancement of research, scholarship, teaching, artistic creation, or professional development, and improve the working conditions of academic staff.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the following organizations: Nebraska Council of School Administrators (NCSA), The School Superintendents Association (AASA), and any other membership dues requested by the Superintendent and approved by the Board.
