Common use of Registered Nurses Clause in Contracts

Registered Nurses. All employees who are regularly scheduled less than seventy-five (75) hours on a bi-weekly basis shall be entitled to vacation pay based upon the applicable percentage of their gross earnings provided in accordance with the vacation entitlement for employees who are scheduled seventy-five (75) hours on a bi- weekly basis on the following basis: 3 week entitlement – 6% 4 week entitlement – 8% 5 week entitlement – 10% 6 week entitlement – 12% 7 week entitlement – 14% Casual part-time employees will be paid vacation pay in accordance with the above entitlement on gross earnings. Equivalent years of service will be based on the casual part-time employee's seniority established under Article 9.01 and will be calculated on the basis that 1500 hours of part-time service shall equal one (1) year of full-time service and vice-versa. (b) Part-time employees shall receive vacation entitlement on the basis of fifteen hundred (1500) hours paid equals one year of service.
