Released Time/Steps One and Two. Should attendance at a grievance hearing require that a teacher or an Association representative be released from his regular assignment, he shall be released without loss of pay or benefits.

Released Time/Steps One and Two. The final decision on any released time for an employee to attend a grievance meeting shall be at the discretion of the Executive Director or designee. Consideration will be given when it appears that attendance of specific employee(s) will expedite a possible resolution of an issue, then such attendance, if approved, will not result in lost hourly wages for scheduled work time. Occasionally, in order to accommodate schedules of witnesses, more than one meeting may be scheduled.
