Replacement Days. 33.1. A certified staff member required in writing by an administrator to work one or more days (a minimum) block of 5.5 consecutive hours per day) beyond Contract requirements or who gains written administrative approval/support to work one or more days (a minimum Block of 5.5 consecutive hours per day) in order to meet the requirements of his/her professional assignment, will be permitted to 'replace' each of those days, within thirty (30) work days of the same contract year, with a commensurate number of days off during the same contract year, pending an agreement with his/her immediate supervisor. A certified staff member required by an administrator to work one or more days (a minimum block of 5.5 consecutive hours per day) beyond Contract requirements at the end of a contract year will be compensated at the rate of one full day's pay based on his/her contracted salary for each of those days. A staff member required to serve one or more additional days because of not fulfilling obligations for which adequate time was provided is not included in this item. Replacement days cannot be used on days that students are in regular school session.
