Common use of Rest Periods Clause in Contracts

Rest Periods. Employees shall be permitted a paid rest period of fifteen (15) consecutive minutes in both the first half and second half of a shift, or shall be provided with an alternative equivalent arrangement. Employees An employee working a full-time day shall be permitted allowed a paid ten-minute rest period at the worksite in each of fifteen (15) consecutive minutes in both the first half and the second half of the shift. An employee working less than a shift, full-time day shall have a ten minute rest period at the worksite during each continuous work period of three hours or more. Rest periods shall be provided taken at times that will cause the least possible interference with an alternative equivalent arrangement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Employees working a shift of four (4) hours or less shall be permitted a paid rest period of fifteen (15) consecutive minutes or shall be provided with an alternative equivalent arrangementwork in which the employees are engaged.
