Common use of Rest Periods Clause in Contracts

Rest Periods. 6.6.1 All bargaining unit employees shall be granted rest periods which, insofar as practicable, shall be in the middle of each work period as provided for in Section 6.6.3, at the rate of fifteen (15) minutes per three and one-half (3 ½) hours worked or major fraction thereof.

Two such fifteen (15) minute rest periods shall be granted during work assignments that are five and one-half (3 ½5.5), six (6), seven (7) or eight (8) hours worked or major fraction thereofin duration.
