Retention of Vacation Leave Hours Upon Transfer. Whenever an employee accepts an appointment to a position not covered by this Agreement, any portion of the employee's accrued vacation leave hours not assumed by the gaining agency shall be compensated to the employee in cash by the Department to a maximum of two hundred fifty (250) hours.
