Education Leave With Pay. Section 32.1 1) If the City requires an employee to take a job-related course as a condition of his employment, it shall reimburse the employee of the tuition. To receive the tuition payment, the employee must receive at least a "C" in a graded course or a "pass" in a pass/fail course. 2) If an employee has problems with tuition payments, he/she may ask the City for assistance under rules prescribed by the Service Safety Director.
Education Leave With Pay. Leave with pay, not to exceed three (3) months, may be authorized to include time to complete advanced training programs. Should an employee terminate prior to working one year after completion of an approved training program, other than a mandatory program, the employee will be subject to forfeiture of accumulated leave and/or salary in the amount equal to salary paid to the employee during the training program.

A teacher may be granted education leave without pay for a period of up to fourteen (14) consecutive months. A teacher’s application for such leave shall be submitted in writing to the Board not later than three (3) months prior to the date on which the leave is to commence, and the Board shall, in writing, notify the teacher of its decision on the application no later than thirty (30) days prior to the date on which the leave is to commence. Conditions of Leave For all educational leaves, a written leave agreement shall be completed by the Board and the teacher, setting out the conditions of the leave as well as any return requirements and commitments.   • VACATION LEAVE WITH PAY 14.01 The vacation year shall be from April 1st of one calendar year to March 31st of the following calendar year inclusive.

  • Entitlement to Vacation Leave With Pay An employee is entitled to vacation leave with pay to the extent of his earned credits but an employee who has completed six (6) months of continuous employment may receive an advance of credits equivalent to the anticipated credits for the vacation year.

  • Examination Leave With Pay At the Employer's discretion, examination leave with pay may be granted to an employee for the purpose of writing an examination which takes place during the employee's scheduled hours of work.   • Bereavement Leave With Pay 26.01 For the purpose of this Article, immediate family is defined as father, mother (or alternatively stepfather, stepmother, or xxxxxx parent), brother, sister, spouse (including common-law partner resident with the Employee), child (including child of common-law partner), stepchild or xxxx of the Employee, grandchild, grandparent, spouse’s parents or any relative permanently residing in the Employee's household or with whom the Employee permanently resides. a) When a member of the Employee's immediate family dies, the Employee shall be granted leave with pay for a period up to five (5) days for purposes relating to the bereavement. In addition, they may be granted up to three (3) days' leave for the purpose of travel related to the death. b) An Employee is entitled to one (1) day's bereavement leave with pay for the purpose related to the death of their son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law or sister-in-law, aunt or uncle. c) If, during a period of sick leave, vacation leave or compensatory leave, an Employee is bereaved in circumstances under which they would have been eligible for bereavement leave with pay under paragraph a) or b) of this clause, the Employee shall be granted bereavement leave with pay and their sick leave, vacation leave or compensatory leave credits shall be restored to the extent of any concurrent bereavement leave with pay granted. d) It is recognized by the parties that the circumstances which call for leave in respect of bereavement are based on individual circumstances. On request, the Director of Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness may, after considering the particular circumstances involved, grant leave with pay for a period greater than that provided for in clauses a) and b) above.

  • SICK LEAVE WITH PAY Sick leave with pay for employees shall be determined in the following manner:

  • Personal Leave With Pay Full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use up to a maximum of six days personal leave with pay per year provided that such days shall be charged against the employee's currently accrued sick leave. This leave is non-cumulative.
