Retired Nurses. Nurses age 60 and over who become eligible for retirement benefits under PERS during the course of this agreement will be eligible to receive retiree medical benefits. The District will contribute $400 per month into a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) for each retired nurse participating in retiree medical. If eligible under PEBB rules, the nurse may choose to use the HRA funds for reimbursement for payments made to the PEBB medical plan. If eligible, spouses may be insured on PEBB on a 100% self-pay basis. Nurses who are not eligible under PEBB retiree rules, or those who wish to participate in another medical plan may use the HRA funds for reimbursement to a medical insurance plan of their choosing (excluding plans that are already pre-tax, or tax sheltered). The District’s HRA premiums for the retiree will not be available for other medical costs. Eligibility in the retiree medical plan will cease when either: A) the nurse becomes eligible to participate in other group coverage through subsequent employment or; B) the nurse reaches Medicare eligibility.

Retired Nurses. A nurse who retires from State service, is not eligible for regular (non- disability) Medicare coverage, has five (5) or more years of allowable pension service, and is entitled at the time of retirement to immediately receive an annuity under a State retirement program, may continue to participate in the health and dental coverages offered through the Group Insurance Program. Consistent with M.S. 43A.27, Subdivision 3, a retired nurse of the State who receives an annuity under a State retirement program may continue to participate in the health and dental coverages offered through the Group Insurance Program. Retiree coverage must be coordinated with Medicare.

  • Retired Teachers The BOARD may employ and assign retired teachers as day-to-day substi- tutes for no more than one hundred school days during the school year and shall pay such teachers the rate paid to day-to-day substitutes. The BOARD shall compensate such retired teachers in accor- dance with Appendix A-1L. Such retired teachers shall not be eligible for any other benefits provided to bargaining unit employees under this Agreement. The BOARD agrees that the employment and as- signment of retired teachers shall not result in the displacement of any appointed or assigned teacher.

  • Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Participation Pursuant to Education Code section 71028 and Public Contract Code section 10115, the District may have a participation goal for disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBEs) of at least three (3) percent per year of funds expended each year by the District on projects that use funds from the California Community College Chancellor’s Office. This Project may use funds allocated under the Act. Therefore, to the extent feasible and pertaining to future hirings, the Consultant, before it executes the Agreement, shall provide to the District certification of compliance with the procedures for implementation of DVBE contracting goals, appropriate documentation identifying the amount(s) intended to be paid to DVBEs in conjunction with the contract, and documentation demonstrating the Consultant’s good faith efforts to meet these goals.

  • Contribution Formula - Basic Life Coverage For employee basic life coverage and accidental death and dismemberment coverage, the Employer contributes one-hundred (100) percent of the cost.

  • Pension Contributions While on Short Term Disability Contributions for OMERS Plan Members When an employee/plan member is on short-term sick leave and receiving less than 100% of regular salary, the Board will continue to deduct and remit OMERS contributions based on 100% of the employee/plan member’s regular pay.

  • Special Maternity Allowance for Totally Disabled Employees (a) An employee who:

  • Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises This section is applicable if Contractor received a disabled veteran business enterprise (“DVBE”) incentive in connection with this Agreement. Contractor’s failure to meet the DVBE commitment set forth in its bid or proposal constitutes a breach of the Agreement. If Contractor used DVBE subcontractor(s) in connection with this Agreement: (i) Contractor must use the DVBE subcontractors identified in its bid or proposal, unless the Judicial Council approves in writing replacement by another DVBE subcontractor in accordance with the terms of this Agreement; and (ii) Contractor must within sixty (60) days of receiving final payment under this Agreement certify in a report to the Judicial Council: (1) the total amount of money Contractor received under the Agreement; (2) the name and address of each DVBE subcontractor to which Contractor subcontracted work in connection with the Agreement; (3) the amount each DVBE subcontractor received from Contractor in connection with the Agreement; and (4) that all payments under the Agreement have been made to the applicable DVBE subcontractors. A person or entity that knowingly provides false information shall be subject to a civil penalty for each violation.

  • Leave for Family Illness In the case of illness of a member of an employee’s immediate family, meaning spouse, son, daughter, father, mother, or person to whom the employee is legal guardian when no one at home other than the employee can provide for the needs of the ill person, the employee may be granted, after notifying her immediate management supervisor, leave with pay up to five (5) working days per fiscal year, for the purpose of making such arrangements as are necessary to permit the employee’s return to work. The immediate management supervisor may require proof of the need for such leave as she considers necessary.

  • Special Parental Allowance for Totally Disabled Employees (a) An employee who:

  • Sick Leave Credit-Based Retirement Gratuities 1) A Teacher is not eligible to receive a sick leave credit gratuity after August 31, 2012, except a sick leave credit gratuity that the Teacher had accumulated and was eligible to receive as of that day.

  • Mandatory Retirement Retirement shall be mandatory only to the extent required by law.
