Rectification of Safety Hazard Where, because of the existence of a safety hazard, a site has been stopped for a defined period of time and employees sent off site by agreement between Site Managers and any combination of Employee Representative/s, Health and Safety Committee, those people who remain on site to do rectification work will be paid at the rate of double time for all such work.
Electrical appliance safety The Hirer shall ensure that any electrical appliances brought by them to the premises and used there shall be safe, in good working order, and used in a safe manner in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Where a residual circuit breaker is provided the hirer must make use of it in the interests of public safety.
Transportation of Students Neither the University nor the District will provide transportation for candidates between the University and the District school. Each candidate shall be responsible for his or her transportation.
Seismic Safety The Recipient agrees to comply with the Earthquake Hazards Reduction Act of 1977, as amended, 42 U.S.C. § 7701, et seq., and U.S. DOT regulations, “Seismic Safety,” 49 CFR Part 41, specifically, 49 C.F.R. § 41.
Selection of Subcontractors, Procurement of Materials and Leasing of Equipment The contractor shall not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disability in the selection and retention of subcontractors, including procurement of materials and leases of equipment. The contractor shall take all necessary and reasonable steps to ensure nondiscrimination in the administration of this contract.
