L3.02 The Employer acknowledges the right of the Association to appoint, or otherwise select, a Negotiating Committee, and will recognize and deal with the said committee with respect to any matter which may properly arise from time to time during the term of this Agreement. If a meeting is called by the Employer during working hours, Employees representing the Association, who are required to attend, shall suffer no loss of pay, benefits or seniority.

Where a permanent Teacher is not receiving benefits from another source and is working less than his/her full FTE in the course of a graduated return to work as the Teacher recovers from an illness or injury, the Teacher may use any unused sick/short-term disability allocation remaining, if any, for the Teacher’s FTE that the Teacher is unable to work due to illness or injury.

The reassignment will continue until twenty (20) days have passed since the last reported case, or such lesser time as the Long Term Occasional Teacher requests.
