RIF Policy for Professional Employees. Reduction in Force (RIF) shall be just cause for dismissal. When a Reduction in Force is necessary because of a decrease in student enrollment, changes in curriculum, shortage of funds, or changes in the use of Professional Employees, the superintendent shall identify the area, subject, level, or programs that will lose Professional Employee positions, as well as the date that such reductions are necessary and make such recommendations to the Board.

  • Promoted Employees 1. An employee who has served one-half (1/2) or more of the time required to be considered for their next step increase, shall upon promotion to a position in a higher wage range in the Bargaining Unit, be placed at Step A of the higher range or such other step as will provide an increase of two

  • JOINT LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE In order to encourage open communication, promote harmonious labor relations, and resolve matters of mutual concern, the parties agree to create a joint labor- management committee. The committee will be governed by the following principles:

  • Extended Health Care Plan (a) The Employer shall pay the monthly premium for regular employees entitled to coverage under a mutually acceptable Extended Health Care Plan.

The City will pay eighty percent (80%) of the costs and the twenty percent (20%) deduction for employees shall be made through payroll deductions. The extended health lifetime maximum will be $1,000,000.

  • Casual Employees A casual employee is one who is not regularly scheduled to work other than during periods that such employee shall relieve a regular full-time or regular part-time employee. Casual employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to such benefits as are contained in the “Addendum - Casual Employees”.
