Joint Labor/Management Committees. Purpose and Membership. Joint Labor/Management Committees are established to provide a forum for communications and problem-solving between the two parties and to deal with matters of a general personnel Union/Employer concern, as well as professional practices within the hospital related to patient care and professional issues. The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads. The Committees’ function will be limited to an advisory capacity and shall not include any decision making or collective bargaining authority.

The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads. The Committees’ function will be limited to an advisory capacity and shall not include any decision making or collective bargaining authority. Joint Labor Management Committees may be attended by up to Two (2) bargaining unit representatives, plus a Union representative and up to two (2) Employer representatives and a representative from the Labor Relations Officer or designee.
Joint Labor/Management Committees. Section 1. To facilitate communication between the parties and to discuss greater productivity, increased efficiencies, improved quality of work life, and improved quality of services, Joint Labor-Management Committees may be established at the universities by mutual agreement of the Union, and the university. The Committee on each campus may take under discussion such topics as the members mutually agree may improve the quality of work life and services, and/or lead to greater efficiencies and productivity, such as workload prioritization issues.
Section 2. The committees shall be on a meet-and-confer basis and shall not be construed as having the authority or entitlement to negotiate. The committees shall have no power to contravene any provision of the Collective Bargaining Agreement or to enter into any agreements binding on the parties to the Agreement or resolve issues or disputes surrounding the implementation of the Agreement. No discussion or review of any matter by the committees shall forfeit or affect the time frames related to the grievance procedure. Matters that should be resolved through the grievance and arbitration procedure shall be handled pursuant to that procedure.
Section 3. The committee shall be composed of three (3) employee members appointed by the Union and three (3) members of management unless mutually agreed otherwise.
Section 4. A jointly prepared written agenda will be developed in advance of any meetings, and meetings will be held during normal business hours.
Section 5. Bargaining unit employees appointed to the committees shall be in pay status during time spent in the committee meetings. Approved time spent in meetings by bargaining unit employees shall neither be charged to leave credit nor considered as overtime worked.
Joint Labor/Management Committees. The Joint Labor-Management Committee shall meet to discuss matters concerning the satisfactory relations of the parties as well as the promotion of harmonious employer-employee relationships.
Joint Labor/Management Committees. Section 34.1. Joint Labor Management Committees. Joint Labor Management Committees are defined as follows: all departmental and Executive Safety Committees; the Labor Management Advisory Team (LMAT); the Health Care Review Committee (HCRC); Contract Negotiation Team; joint grievance investigation teams; and any other joint committee agreed to in writing and in advance by the City and the Union.
Joint Labor/Management Committees. During the term of this MOU, a joint labor/management committee will be established, comprised of four (4) Union Stewards, one (1) Business Agent, and Department management. The purpose of this committee will be to discuss concerns including training, cross-training, use of Part-Time employees, workload, etc. These meetings will be scheduled depending on necessity, anticipated to be quarterly. A joint labor/management committee shall also meet and confer on the City’s proposed changes to the Employer-Employee Relations Resolution, as well as proposed legally required updates to the City of Fontana’s Personnel Rules & Regulations.
Joint Labor/Management Committees. The parties agree to schedule regular meetings to discuss issues of mutual concern. Union representatives shall be allowed release time to attend such meetings. The parties shall schedule separate meetings for the Clerical and Maintenance units for the purpose of addressing issues specific to each unit. The parties agree that these meetings do not constitute meet and confer, or collective bargaining, nor shall they address issues that fall under the MOU grievance process. To the extent possible, during each meeting, the Committee shall set the agenda for the next meeting and any agenda additions shall be relayed to the Committee members as soon as possible prior to the next meeting. Minutes of each Joint Labor Management Committee meeting will be distributed to the Clerical and/or Maintenance unit employees, respectively. Recommendations from the Committee will be forwarded to the Executive Director for review and final decision.
Joint Labor/Management Committees. Employer and the Union will establish joint labor-management safety committees in compliance with current Oregon law and administrative rules. Joint safety committees will be established to represent the following primary places of employment:
1. Oregon Zoo
2. Parks and Nature Employer and the Union will each elect or appoint an appropriate number of representatives and alternates to the committees specified above in accordance with the statute. The committees will hold monthly safety committee meetings. For the Oregon Zoo a representative from each division of the Zoo will serve on the safety committee. Employer and the Union agree to establish new committees as required by expansion or reorganization. Each safety committee shall inquire into and make recommendations to Employer on all safety issues in the work area.
23.3.1 When appropriate and necessary, each month each supervisor shall hold an additional safety meeting with their crew. The safety committee member representing said crew will report on the action or disposition of any recommendations or complaints of the safety committee that would have an effect on their crew.
Joint Labor/Management Committees. Section 141. There shall be established in each store a joint Labor Management Committee whose purpose shall be to investigate, study and discuss mutual solutions to problems affecting Labor-Management relations in the store in a sincere attempt to improve the parties' basic relationship. The Committee in each store shall be made up of an equal number of Union and Employer representatives and shall develop its own guidelines as determined by the participants in the store and as approved by the Union and the Employer. The Committee shall not have the authority to modify the terms of this Agreement.
Joint Labor/Management Committees. Electronic Schedules: The parties agree to establish a Joint-Labor Management Committee to consider the Union’s proposal regarding the providing of electronic schedules. New Hire Orientation: The parties agree to establish a Joint Labor-Management Committee to consider the Union’s proposal regarding new employees orientation if Right to Work is passed.
