Role of Mediator. The role of a mediator is to assist in negotiating a resolution of the Dispute. A mediator may not make a binding decision on a party to the Dispute except if the party agrees in writing.

Role of Mediator. Within ten working days of the receipt of the submissions, the mediator meets with the parties. At that time the mediator: 7.4.4.1 (A) where he/she believes that the parties should resume negotiations without his/her assistance, directs them to do so for such a period of time as he/she deems appropriate; or 7.4.4.2 (A) where he/she believes that his/her assistance is necessary to assist the parties in attempting to resolve the matters, attempts to mediate an agreement.
Role of Mediator. The Mediator is an impartial, neutral intermediary, whose role is to assist the participants in reaching a settlement by negotiation between or amongst themselves. The Mediator cannot impose a settlement but will assist the participants in achieving their own settlement. The Mediator does not act as an attorney or advocate for or give legal, tax or other professional advice to any participant. In this regard, no professional-client or fiduciary relationship is created between any participant and the Mediator.
