Sabbatical. Any teacher who has completed at least six (6) full school years of service in the District shall have the right to apply for a Sabbatical Leave. The teacher’s present school year shall be included when determining the six (6) years of service. This leave shall be granted only for college or university study or for other pursuits of educational value to the District. No more than one percent (1%) of the teaching staff shall be on this type of leave at one time. Pay shall be sixty percent (60%) of the salary the teacher would have received if actively teaching.
