SAI Teacher. A Resource Specialist or a special education teacher with a mild moderate or special education teacher moderate/severe authorization who provides instruction, special education support, and/or educational assessments to students as defined in section 26.2.2 with active IEPs pursuant to this Article as follows: • In a self-contained special education classroom, or • In a “push in/pull out” special education model where the majority of the students’ day is in General Education classes, or • An SAI Teacher also includes a teacher who holds a special education and core subject credential or the equivalent and teaches a “basic core curriculum class” at the secondary level.
