Parent-Teacher Conferences. A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable.
B. In the event that a bargaining unit member does not communicate with a parent on the established date for parent unit member conferences as per the calendar adopted by the Board, a reasonable attempt to contact that parent will be made. A reasonable attempt constitutes a phone call or email. If that contact is not returned, the bargaining unit member shall not be obligated to make further contact.
Parent-Teacher Conferences. A teacher will be granted temporary leave to attend parent-teacher conferences and IEP meetings pertaining to a teacher’s child that are held in District schools and in schools located in districts that are adjacent/near to USD 259.
Parent-Teacher Conferences. K-5 classroom teachers in a K-5 or K-8 school shall 30 have six (6) minimum days in the fall and two (2) minimum days in the spring for 31 parent/teacher conferences. 32
Parent-Teacher Conferences. The expectation for Schedule A Parent-Teacher conferences is that all teachers shall meet with parents during the scheduled conference time. In the instance where a teacher is unable to meet with parents during the scheduled conference time, an alternate scheduled time to meet with parents must be set up with approval by the building principal. In the event that a teacher does not meet with parents during scheduled conference time or during an approved alternate time, the Schedule A time will be unpaid.
Parent-Teacher Conferences. Full-time (1.0 FTE) kindergarten teachers demonstrating a need to schedule four (4) evening parent-teacher conference sessions of 2.5 hours each, shall, upon submission and approval to their building administrator, and the office of the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, be provided the choice of an additional one-half (1/2) day comp time or compensation at their hourly per diem rate to a maximum of three (3) hours. Half-time (.5 FTE) kindergarten teachers demonstrating a need to schedule more than two (2) evening conferences may be eligible for similar prorated compensation dependent upon their work schedule, the scheduling of record marking time, etc.
Parent-Teacher Conferences. The Association agrees that Teachers will be expected to attend two parent-teacher conference evenings during the school year (one to be held during the first semester and the other during the second semester). In exchange for Teachers' attendance at these parent-teacher conference evenings, Teachers will be released from duty for one-half day on two Teacher record days. Parent-Teacher Conferences. During that time scheduled by the District for parent-teacher conferences, classroom teachers and resource specialists required to hold parent-teacher conferences may be released fifteen (15) minutes after the end of the last class or period, if no conferences are scheduled. Regular proficiency test conferences shall be scheduled at the same time as the regular conferences. If conferences are scheduled, a teacher shall be released after the teacher's last conference. Conferences may be held after the minimum workday provided for in Section 2 above in order to meet the needs of parents. When conferences are scheduled past the minimum workday, the teacher shall have the responsibility to set the appointment. Classroom teachers and resource specialists shall make all reasonable efforts to complete assigned parent-teacher conferences.
Parent-Teacher Conferences. For the high school and middle school, the building principal and staff will schedule evening parent teacher conferences. The total hours of these conferences will be 10 hours per year with sessions held in each of the three trimesters. For elementary teachers, the building principal and staff will schedule evening parent teacher conferences. The total hours of these conferences will be 10 hours per year.
Parent-Teacher Conferences. The Employer shall make every effort to provide time during normal instruction hours for teachers to confer with parents on parent-teacher conference days.
Parent-Teacher Conferences. The employee works the portion of the Parent Teacher Conference (13 hours total available except early childhood teachers who have 21 hours total available) based on their FTE allocation. The staff member and principal/supervising administrator determine the exact times the employee works during Parent Teacher Conference based on the FTE contract allocation. A decision on the exact times must be made by October 1. The amount of time worked at Parent Teacher Conferences is counted toward the employee’s total contract obligation.
