Salary on Promotion. 11.4.1 When an employee is promoted to a position in a higher salary range, he/she shall receive the next higher dollar amount above his/her present rate of pay, but not less than the minimum of the new salary range. If that amount is less than a one-step (5%) increase, the employee shall be placed at the next higher step over that authorized above, up to the highest step in the range.
