Common use of Sarawak Allowance Clause in Contracts

Sarawak Allowance. (a) Employees covered by this Agreement shall, during its currency, be paid a monthly Sarawak Allowance at the rates paid by Government as Regional Allowance in Sarawak as per the examples in Appendix III. The present rates are as follows:- Below RM841.89 25% RM841.90 – RM1,176.75 22½% RM1,176.76 – RM1,783.83 20% RM1,783.84 – RM3,566.04 17½% RM3,566.05 – RM5,565.60 15% RM5,565.61 and above 12½% . (To the nearest Ringgit).
