Per Diem Allowance. (1) Excluding Travel Days, days on which all three (3) meals are provided by the Company while on the Overnight Temporary Assignment, and days for which the employee receives an Overnight Travel Allowance as provided in Section 4.c. below, when an employee, as directed by the supervisor, reports for an Overnight Temporary Assignment, the em- ployee will be entitled to a Per Diem Allowance, as follows: (a) If the Overnight Temporary Assignment lo- cation is within the five-state Company oper- ating area, an amount equal to the IRS maxi- mum Meals & Incidental Expenses (M&IE) Allowances but not to exceed forty-five (45) dollars. Per Diem Allowance. On distant locations within any of the Canadian Provinces or Territories, the Employee shall be paid in advance a per diem allowance commensurate with the standard of living in the work area but not less than $65.00. However, if meals are provided at the expense of the Employer, the per diem allowance may be reduced in the following manner: Breakfast, $14.50; Lunch, $20.50 and Dinner, $30.00. The foregoing dollar amounts will be payable in U.S. dollars when in the United States.
Per Diem Allowance. The following per diem allowance shall be paid for each travel day when work is done at a distance of more than 40 kilometres from the employee’s regular workplace, as measured along public highways: • A partial per diem allowance shall be paid when the work- related travel has exceeded 6 hours. • The full per diem allowance shall be paid when the work- related travel has exceeded 10 hours. A partial per diem allowance shall be paid for a partial day that exceeds a full travel day by not less than two and not more than six hours. The per diem allowance shall equal the tax-exempt sum determined annually by the National Board of Taxes. The per diem allowance shall be half of the foregoing amounts if the employee enjoys free board, or if this is included in the price of the ticket on any travel day. Free board shall denote two free meals in the case of a full per diem allowance and one free meal in the case of a partial per diem allowance.
Per Diem Allowance. On distant locations within Canada where an Employee is required to be housed overnight, the Employee shall be paid weekly, in advance, and in cash, a per diem allowance of not less than seventy dollars ($70.00) per day. However, if meals are provided by the Employer during the work day, the per diem allowance may be reduced in the following manner: Breakfast, twelve dollars and fifty cents ($12.50) Lunch, seventeen dollars and fifty cents ($17.50) and Dinner, twenty-seven dollars and fifty cents ($27.50) The remaining twelve dollars and fifty cent ($12.50) amount (allotted for incidentals) shall not be deductible. The foregoing dollar amounts will be payable in U.S. dollars when in the United States. Fringes and deductions shall not apply to Per Diem.
Per Diem Allowance. Per diem allowances shall paid when the distance between the place where work is done and the salaried employee’s workplace proper or home, depending on the place from which the journey is made, exceeds 40 kilometres as measured along public highways. The place of work shall also be 15 kilometres from both the salaried employee’s workplace proper and home. Per diem allowances shall be paid for each travel day as follows: A full per diem allowance shall be paid when the work-related travel exceeds 10 hours. A partial per diem allowance shall be paid when the work-related travel exceeds 6 hours but is less than 10 hours. The partial per diem allowance shall also be paid for any partial day following on from a full travel day and comprising not less than 2 and not more than 6 hours, and a full per diem allowance shall be paid when the said continuation exceeds 6 hours. The per diem allowance shall equal the tax-exempt sum determined annually by the National Board of Taxes.
Per Diem Allowance. The Employer shall pay a per diem allowance of up to thirty-five ($35.00) upon presentation of receipts for all approved business trips of over 100 miles (160 kilometers), round trip. If an overnight stay is required, the allowance for that day shall be up to seventy ($70.00) dollars upon presentation of receipts.

Per Diem Allowance. (a) A per diem allowance of seven dollars and thirty-five cents ($7.35) shall be provided in accordance with Article 17: Transportation and Travel Expenses, for each day of the locum assignment, including days where they are not scheduled to work and travel days. This per diem allowance shall be paid for all NP Locum assignments, except where the temporary daily payment in paragraph 11(b) applies. (b) For the period from date of ratification until September 29, 2025, a temporary daily payment of fifty dollars ($50.00) per day for each assignment, excluding travel days, shall be paid for all NP Locum assignments in the North Zone outside of Grande Prairie and Fort XxXxxxxx.
