Common use of Scheduled Overtime Assignments Clause in Contracts

Scheduled Overtime Assignments. 1. If overtime work is necessary, the Correctional Rehabilitation Manager or his/her designee will send an email to Correctional Rehabilitation Office Specialists seeking volunteers to work voluntary overtime. The email will ask that those interested respond in a specified period of time. 2. Should more than one (1) Correctional Rehabilitation Office Specialist respond expressing an interest to work the overtime, the overtime shall be assigned to the most senior staff. Seniority shall be defined as time in classification inside the Union’s bargaining unit. 3. If there are no volunteers to work the overtime from Office Specialists in Correctional Rehabilitation, then the Correctional Rehabilitation Manager or designee shall send out another email to all other Security Plus Office Specialists in the Institution seeking volunteers to work the overtime. Should more than one (1) Office Specialist volunteer to work the overtime, the overtime shall be assigned to the most senior Office Specialist. Seniority is defined as time in classification inside the Union’s bargaining unit. Office Specialists employed outside of Correctional Rehabilitation must obtain training before working overtime at the front desk.
