Secondary Teaching Load. A. Middle school bargaining unit members may not be required to teach more than six (6) periods in a school day, and high school bargaining unit members may not be required to teach more than the equivalent of threethree (3) block periods in a day, but unit members may be requested, but not required, to volunteer to do so in lieu of study hall or other supervisory duties. The remaining time will be planning time free of meetings and/or other duties except under extenuating circumstances.
