Section 1414. 2 In the case of any on-the-job disability which is covered by industrial insurance under the 3 Xxxxxxx’x Compensation Trust through ESD 112, the employer will pay to such disabled 4 employee, out of their accumulated sick leave, an allowance equal to the difference between the 5 xxxxxxx’x compensation benefits and the employee’s regular straight time gross pay, less 6 statutory deductions, beginning at the time of disability and continuing until the accumulated 7 sick leave entitlement is completely expended. After exhausting paid sick leave, employees 8 have the option of using other available paid leave to supplement xxxxxxx’x compensation 9 benefits.

Section 1414. 40 Paraeducators who are regularly assigned to programs and/or positions for more than half of their day, 41 which require the performance of special duty functions will be increased by $1.00 per hour while said 42 assignment is in effect. Special duty functions are described as working with students who are 43 aggressive and/or combative, need catheterization, have special hygiene functions, specialized medical 44 procedures, and other specialized areas as identified by the District that exceed normally-assigned job 45 requirements. Section 1414. 5 Nothing herein shall place the District out of compliance with legislative or State agency laws or 6 regulations. Should the District need to reduce insurance contributions, said contributions shall be 7 reduced prospectively, first by reduction of the APF beginning with the last added amount, until 8 compliance is established.
