Section 7.2 30 Each employee shall be assigned to a definite and regular shift and workweek, which shall not be changed 31 without prior notice to the employee of two (2) calendar weeks. In the event of extenuating or unusual 32 circumstances, the employee may be given another assignment to be worked during their regularly 33 scheduled shift with less than the two (2) week notification. This notice may be waived by the employee.
Section 7.3 2 Each employee shall be assigned to a definite shift with designated times of beginning and ending.
Section 7.4 11 In the event an employee is assigned to a shift less than the normal work shift previously defined in 12 this Article, the employee shall be given a paid fifteen (15) minute rest period for each four (4) hours 13 of work.
Section 7.5 16 Employees required to work through their regular lunch periods will be given time to eat at a time 17 agreed upon by the employee and supervisor. In the event the District requires an employee to forego 18 a lunch period and the employee works the entire shift, including the lunch period, the employee shall 19 be compensated for the foregone lunch period at one and one-half (1½) the regular rate.
Section 9.1.1 2 Employees on layoff status shall file their addresses in writing with the personnel office of the District 3 and shall thereafter promptly advise the District in writing of any change of address.
Section 6.3 27 The workweek shall consist of five (5) consecutive days, Monday through Friday, followed by two (2) 28 consecutive days of rest, Saturday and Sunday except as provided in Section 6.3.1.
Section 5.1 21 It is agreed and understood that matters appropriate for consultation and negotiation between the 22 District and the Association are grievance procedures and collective negotiations on personnel matters, 23 including wages, hours and working conditions.
Section 11.1 28 The District shall have the right to discipline or discharge an employee for justifiable cause. The issue 29 of justifiable cause shall be resolved in accordance with the grievance procedure hereinafter provided.

Section 6.2 13 The Association representatives may represent the Association and employees in meeting with officials 14 of the District to discuss appropriate matters of mutual interest. They may receive and investigate to 15 conclusion complaints or grievances of employees on District time and thereafter advise employees of 16 rights and procedures outlined in this Agreement and applicable regulations or directives for resolving 17 the grievances or complaints. They may not, however, continue to advise the employee on courses of 18 action after the employee has indicated a desire not to pursue a grievance. This does not, however, 19 preclude the Association's right to pursue the matter to conclusion. They may consult with the District 20 on complaints without a grievance being made by an individual employee.
