Section 7.1.3. Employees in the job classification of Laborer shall normally work no more than a forty (40) 28 hour workweek. Such workweek may include Saturday notwithstanding the provisions of 29 Section 7.1, 7.2.2, 7.3.1, and 7.9.3. Overtime shall be as specified in Section 7.9.

Section 7.1.3. 43 In the event an employee is absent for reasons which are covered by Industrial Insurance, the 44 District shall pay the employee an amount equal to the difference between the amount paid by 45 the Department of Labor and Industries and the amount the employee would normally earn. A 46 deduction shall be made from the employee’s accumulated illness and injury leave in 47 accordance with the amount paid by the District.

Section 7.1.3. 39 Extra trips shall be posted for driver consideration and sign up as soon as available. Posting shall 40 include the following information: Date of trip, time of departure and return, origin and destination, 41 and type of activity. Any qualified driver (defined as completing ninety (90) workdays) wishing 42 assignment to an extra trip must request placement on the extra trip roster. In the event no regularly 43 employed driver, who has completed ninety (90) work days is interested in working a given extra trip, 44 the District may, on a case by case basis, assign the extra trip to a regularly employed driver who has 45 not completed ninety (90) workdays. 48
