Common use of Section 7.8. Overtime Clause in Contracts

Section 7.8. Overtime. 16 Normally, overtime assignments shall be distributed in accordance with the seniority provisions as 17 hereinafter provided. In the assignment of overtime, the District agrees to provide the employee with 18 as much advance notice as practicable in the circumstances. Normally, employees designated to work 19 overtime on days outside their regular workweek will be advised of the possibility no later than 20 twenty-four (24) hours prior to the end of the last shift before the overtime commences.

The above notice provisions may be waived in emergencies.

In the 36 assignment of overtime, the District agrees to provide the employee with 18 as much advance notice as 37 practicable in the circumstances. Normally, employees designated to work 19 overtime on days outside their 38 regular workweek will be advised of the possibility no later than 20 twenty-four (24) hours prior to the end 39 of the last shift before the overtime commences, except in emergency or unless extension of a job.
