Self-Directed. Hours (2 Days): An educator may work fifteen (15) hours outside the workday of self- directed professional development aligned with approved educator goals or District/building initiatives and approved by a building administrator. Educators who choose to participate in the planned activities on these days will document their participation. These self-directed professional development hours may be worked in August prior to the start of the school year including employees who are new hires to the District. Employees working these days in August must record to which fiscal year’s allocation it should be attributed.

Self-Directed. Employees who wish to participate in skill improvement classes or workshops, beyond those offered by the district, shall submit a written proposal on the FSD Facilities & Maintenance Training Request Form (see appendix B) that includes the class description and development goals to his or her Union representative. In turn, the union representative will submit the request to the district office for review and discussion at the next designated Labor Management Meeting. Approval or disapproval will be at the discretion of the District representative. Employees who apply for skill-improvement classes or workshops may request that the District provide the following:

  • Executive Committee (A) The Executive Committee shall be composed of not more than nine members who shall be selected by the Board of Directors from its own members and who shall hold office during the pleasure of the Board.

  • Leave, Board of Directors A nurse who is elected to the Board of Directors of the Ontario Nurses' Association, other than to the office of President, shall be granted upon request such leave(s) of absence as she or he may require to fulfill the duties of the position. Reasonable notice - sufficient to adequately allow the Hospital to minimize disruption of its services shall be given to the Hospital for such leave of absence.   • Behavioral Interventions Committee This committee develops and monitors procedures for using behavioral interventions in accordance with Board policy 7:230, Misconduct by Students with Disabilities, and provides information and recommendations to the Board. At the Board President's discretion, the Parent-Teacher Advisory Committee shall perform the duties assigned to the Behavioral Interventions Committee.

  • Mandate of the Committee The mandate of the Education Worker Diverse and Inclusive Workforce Committee is to jointly explore and identify best practices that support diversity, equity, inclusion and to xxxxxx diverse and inclusive workforces reflective of Ontario’s diverse communities.

  • Senior Management and Boards of Directors 1. Neither Party may require that an enterprise of that Party that is a covered investment appoint to senior management positions natural persons of any particular nationality.

  • Health Care Committee A Health Insurance Committee shall be established and maintained with at least three (3) representatives appointed by the Association and three (3) representatives appointed by the Superintendent. The purpose of the Committee shall be to make recommendations designed to optimize the quality of health care available to District employees and improve cost effectiveness of the health insurance program. Committee members shall review data, work with the District insurance consultant, collaborate on making recommendations for changes in plan design, review bids by insurance companies, and ultimately consider recommending plan changes to their respective constituencies. The Committee is not empowered to unilaterally make changes in health care benefits without ratification by the Association and approval by the Board. The creation of the Committee does not diminish or in any way reduce the Board’s and Association’s rights or responsibilities.

  • Consultative Committee 26.1 The parties agree to establish a consultative committee to assist the parties improve productivity, efficiency and to provide for the effective involvement of employees in decision making processes. The committee will consist of an equal number of company and elected employee representatives.
