Release Time definition

Release TimeThe Grievant, the Grievants Representative (if an employee of the Employer) and any witnesses shall be provided release time including reasonable travel time, if required, to be present at any formal hearing conducted pursuant to the Grievance process.
Release Time. The following procedures shall apply for release time:
Release Time is time off granted to employees from their ordinary work to participate in association activities. This time will be considered time worked for purposes of calculating sick leave.

Examples of Release Time in a sentence

  • Requests for Union Release Time, paid or unpaid, shall not be unreasonably denied.

  • The City will provide 30 minutes of Union Release Time to the Union representative presenting the Union membership information during the scheduled onboarding.

  • The designated bargaining unit representative(s) shall use the City Paid Union Release Time (URT) payroll code for any paid time off eligible for release time from regular City duties to attend authorized meetings.

  • Within six (6) months of the implementation of the Career Release Time policy, MAPE will review the career ladders for MAPE classifications that were created by Human Resources.

  • If the Union representative is not released due to department operational needs, the Union representative may arrange an alternative date and time to meet with the newly hired employee within the first two (2) weeks of employment, subject to the 30-minutes onboarding and Union Release Time requirements as stipulated above.


More Definitions of Release Time

Release Time means the time that an employee is released from regular duties 12 without loss of pay to perform District-approved activities as provided for in the 13 Agreement.
Release Time. Means the release from regularly scheduled duty to attend with pay a bargaining session between the County and the Association's bargaining team during on-duty time. Release time is time worked.
