Common use of Seventh Consecutive Day Clause in Contracts

Seventh Consecutive Day. When a member working a five (5) day, eight (8) hour schedule is required by a supervisor to work on the seventh consecutive day, and the member has actually worked at least thirty-two (32) hours in the five (5) previous days plus a minimum of three (3) hours in paid status on the sixth consecutive day, the member shall be compensated at a double- time rate of pay for all hours worked on the seventh consecutive day. The seventh consecutive day need not be in the same pay period. This compensation shall also be paid when the seventh consecutive day occurs during the annual shift change. For purposes of this Section, paid training shall be considered time actually worked. When a member volunteers to attend training or work on their seventh consecutive day, the member shall be compensated at time and a half (1.5).
