Common use of Shift Premium/Differential Clause in Contracts

Shift Premium/Differential. All employees who are assigned to work the second or third shift will be paid an additional ten percent (10%) of their base rate for hours paid during the assigned shift. The Company has the right to require at least one bargaining unit employee to be responsible for each shift and that employee will receive lead pay. Management will determine shift assignments.
