Shop Xxxxxxx Training Days. In addition to the above, a maximum of twenty-five (25) paid leave days shall be permitted on a calendar year basis for employees who are designated as Union representatives in the workplace for shop xxxxxxx training. Requests for such leave must be authorized by a designated Union Representative. Requests shall be submitted, in writing, to Appointing Authority Management, on notification forms provided by the Judiciary. Approval of such requests will be based on operational needs and will not be unreasonably denied. These training days can also be used for contract negotiation preparation sessions by the Union’s duly-authorized negotiations team members in years during which such negotiations occur.
