Common use of Short-Term Bicycle Parking Clause in Contracts

Short-Term Bicycle Parking. Developer shall provide bicycle parking for short-term public use as shown on the Project Plans but no less than one (1) space per 1,000 square feet of commercial Floor Area. No more than 50% of the short-term bicycle parking may be provided in a vertical or hanging rack. Prior to ARB approval, the location and type of bike racks to be provided shall be submitted for review and approval by the City. The short-term bicycle parking shall meet the following standard:  For each bicycle parking space required a stationary, securely anchored object shall be provided to which a bicycle frame and one wheel can be secured with a high-security U-shaped shackle lock if both wheels are left on the bicycle. One such object may serve multiple bicycle parking spaces.
