Common use of Show-Up Clause in Contracts

Show-Up. 15.02 An Employee reporting for work at the regular starting time and for whom no work is available shall receive two (2) hours pay at the Employee's basic wage rate plus benefits as per Clause 8.01 of this Agreement. To be eligible to receive reporting pay the Employee must report to the shop at the regular starting time and remain there for one (1) hour unless said Employee is released sooner by the Employer. Should the Employer notify the Employee at least one (1) hour prior to the start of the shift that no work is available there will be no show-up time paid to said Employee. Should an Employee receive during his/her regular day shift three (3) or more hours straight time pay on a day that said Employee is entitled to show-up pay then that Employee shall not be entitled to said show-up pay for that given day.
