Common use of Sick Leave Accruals for Full-Time Employees Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave Accruals for Full-Time Employees. All full-time employees, other than temporary and provisional employees, shall accrue sick leave benefits each payroll period based upon the number of hours to which the employee is entitled. The full-time sick leave accrual rate is 3.704 hours per payroll period. After an absence is approved as sick leave, it shall be deducted from an employee's leave balance at the end of the pay period in which the leave is taken. Employees shall earn sick leave credits in accordance with the foregoing schedule from their initial date of employment and shall be entitled to the use of sick leave upon commencement of employment. There shall be no limit upon the number of hours of unused sick leave an employee may accumulate.
