SICK LEAVE (Full. time bargaining unit members in paid status shall be credited with ninety-six (96) hours of sick leave per fiscal year. 14.2.1 Less than full time and/or less than twelve (12) month bargaining unit members in paid status shall be credited sick leave on a pro-rated basis based on their assignment per fiscal year. 14.2.2 Annual sick leave will be credited in advance on July 1st of each fiscal year. 14.2.3 Unused sick leave may be accrued from one year to the next. 14.2.4 A bargaining unit member may use up to half of their annual sick leave accrual to attend to an illness or injury of the bargaining unit member and/or his/her immediate family. 14.2.5 After all earned sick leave as provided in Article 14.2 or 14.2.1 has been used and additional absence due to illness or injury is necessary, extended sick leave of up to one hundred (100) days per a twelve (12) month period shall be provided to bargaining unit members.
