Solid Waste Facilities. 4.4.1 The building shall include designated space for five stream commercial waste containers (1. Garbage, 2. Blue Bag Recyclables, 3. Paper, 4. Corrugated Cardboard, and 5. Organics) to accommodate source separation program in accordance with By-law S-600 as amended from time to time. This designated space for five (5) waste containers shall be shown on the building plans and approved by the Development Officer and Building Inspector in consultation with HRM Solid Waste Resources.
Solid Waste Facilities. 3.9.1 All refuse and recycling materials shall be contained within a building, or within suitable containers which are fully screened from view from any street. Further, consideration shall be given to locating all refuse and recycling material to ensure minimal effect on abutting property owners by means of opaque fencing or masonry walls or suitable landscaping.

Solid Waste Facilities. 4.4.1 Refuse containers and waste compactors shall be confined to the loading areas of each building, and shall be screened from public view where necessary by means of opaque fencing or masonry walls with suitable landscaping.

As part of its obligations under this Agreement, Collector covenants that it shall transport all Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials collected pursuant to this Agreement to solid waste facilities (as defined in the Act) fully permitted under the guidelines of state, federal and local laws and regulations, which are in compliance with applicable law, and which are not being considered for inclusion on a state or federal Superfund list. Collector shall arrange for and secure proper disposal and processing of collected Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials at such facilities. All landfills utilized by Collector to dispose of Solid Waste under this Agreement must be properly permitted by the Regional Water Quality Board, and classified as a Class 3 landfill (landfills designated to receive only municipal Solid Waste).
